The Challenge

With a global pandemic driving everyone to work online, HSBC were shaking things up by introducing Microsoft Teams into their workflow. As a new way of working was soon to be introduced to the wider team, they needed a set of attention-grabbing, easily digestible video assets to break down the software and show their employees exactly how Microsoft teams could help them to work smarter, not harder.

TRANSLATED INTO FIVE DIFFERENT LANGUAGES.

With a workforce that spanned globally, HSBC wanted to target different personas within the company and also create a suite of explainer assets that would help employees get set up with Microsoft Teams. Whilst we worked on tailoring the creative to the diverse pool of employees at HSBC, we also needed to ensure that these were all accessible to their global team, meaning each animation created was translated into five different languages too.

HSBC Anchor

The Approach.

We created a suite of hand-drawn animations and brought their key personas to life as characters in our animated world. By adding personal touches to our character’s worlds, such as a cute cat and some funky slippers, we ensured that these animations were relatable and that our characters each had a personality to make the explainer animations more engaging

These characters featured throughout the videos and focused on providing employees with all the necessary information to make the jump to Microsoft Teams, whilst also helping them to understand exactly why the software would be a game-changer from them specifically.

FUNKY SLIPPERS?

The Result.

With striking creative direction and the boldness of the HSBC colour palette, the assets were as eye-catching as they were informative and helped to ease the transition to an online mode of working within HSBC.

These animations have now spanned across a variety of introductory initiatives at HSBC.
