The Challenge

Gumtree had launched their refreshed brand platform -

Good Finds. They needed an exciting, new execution to take

the campaign to new heights (and new audiences).

With over 16 million people tuning into podcasts every year, there was a brilliant opportunity in the audio space for Gumtree.

 

Our aims? To boost brand awareness. Tap into new audiences. And create something that genuinely entertained listeners. Embodying the cheeky, disruptive tone Gumtree are known

for and building on the Good Finds brand platform.

 

And before we knew it, The Good Finds Podcast was born.

Welcome to The Good Finds Podcast brought to you

by Gumtree. Each week, comedian Rachel Parris puts a celebrity guest in the hot seat and uncovers the truth behind their absurd stories and headlines. From the good to the bad to the downright bizarre, listen in as we dig out some Good Finds from the celebrity archives and discover, once and for all, what’s fact and what’s fiction.

We trawled through the archives of our six celebrity guests, digging out the weird and wonderful stories that made the headlines. And armed with our selection of Good Finds from our research, we invited our talent into the hot seat. Our first season featured Marcus Brigstocke, Ellie Taylor, Cheryl Hole, Scarlett Moffatt, Pete Wicks and Catherine Tyldesley.

The Results

 

With 22,000+ listens to date, the podcast had over 5x as many listeners as the average branded podcast. The Ellie Taylor episode even made it onto Spotify's 'Laugh Out Loud UK' podcast playlist!

With the series in the bag we created a whole bunch of
social media focussed assets to push people towards the podcast series, featuring some questionable but enticing moments from each episode as bait!
